Above is a picture of Katy Perry. Why am I putting up a picture of Katy Perry? Well, just look at her. But that aside, she is in the remake of "Arthur" starring her current boyfriend Russell Brand. If you have seen "Arthur" you know how great of a movie it is. A good, simple old school comedy starring everyone's favorite club-footed pianist: Dudley Moore.
Russell needs to make a living and I appreciate that. But just like the remake of "The Karate Kid", this movie does nothing but pad movie execs pockets and confuse online shoppers. In the future our children will have two films pop up when they Google it. I pity the fool that accidentially orders the wrong version. Do yourself a favor and avoid this film - rewriting a character from being a alcoholic multimillionare to being a really silly, eccentric rich guy doesn't exactly create excitement or curiosity. Instead buy the good version on DVD. Or borrow mine. Or come watch it at my place save the $12 on popcorn.
